Trickle down economics How we're told it works: Picture of tower of wine glasses, 1 glass balanced on 2 glasses, which are balanced on 3 glasses. Wine is poured from a bottle into the top glass, which is overflowing into the 2 below, which are overflowing into the 3 below, so all glasses are filled. What actually happens: Same tower of glasses pictured, only instead of wine overflowing and filling the glasses below, the top glass just gets bigger and bigger to hold all the wine, and none of it reaches the glasses below.
