Music, horror, cats, comedy.
Since when did gnomes replace Christmas elves? Utter woke nonsense.

Anyways just come out of my third gig in a row. Get Fontaines DC on the top of the Pyramid at Glasto and be done with it. What a band.

‘The Rat’ by The Walkmen has come on twice tonight in various pubs. Contender for the greatest song of all time?

Got a busy couple of weeks coming up gig wise.

Next up is @billryderjones.bsky.social (contender for album of the year in my books) and Gruff Rhys at Manchester’s Albert Hall.

Then it’s Vampire Weekend and Fontaines DC in quick succession. Exciting stuff!

Thought it was probably time to start using Bluesky in earnest.

I went to two banging gigs this week:

First up, Blossoms at The Ritz. The lads are on another level at the moment. Incredibly tight and above all hugely fun. Worth mentioning support acts Delights and Neon Waltz also superb.

This isn’t a popular Johnny Cash opinion but I think after Highwayman he should’ve done a lot more songs where he flies a spaceship

At 30 years old I’ve just now realised that The Darkness’ 2003 festive smash hit ‘Christmas Time (Don’t Let the Bells End)’ is a double entendre.

Watched No One Will Save You on Disney+ last night and can’t stop thinking about it. An atmospheric, Amblin-esque romp with some superb creature design, hampered at a couple of points by the lack of dialogue. Worth a watch!

Finally got round to reading some Grady Hendrix in the run up to everyone’s favourite spooky month. Enjoyed it as a popcorn read - some effective scares and a couple of genuinely touching moments. Is it just me that’s getting a bit sick of the Stranger Things 80’s nostalgia shtick though?

Watching the director’s cut of Doctor Sleep for the first time. What a movie. Mike Flanagan truly one of the greats. Can’t wait to see what he does with Fall of the House of Usher.
