That's part of my argument. After Hillary's and Kamala's losses to Trump, there was a lot of finger pointing to ensure they themselves received zero blame even though they were largely at fault. "She had a shitty campaign strategy" was replaced with "it was the Bernie Bros" or "it was racism".

A coworker sneered about DEI once. I informed him that nearly every person in the department, including 2 white men counted as DEI, as did the white Desert Storm vet working in a nearby department. He just scoffed and walked away.

True, but that goes both ways. Republicans blame all their failures on the Dems to stop their gullible supporters from figuring out Republicans don't give a shit about voters. Dems need Republicans to be bat shit crazy to maybe get elected despite also not giving a shit about voters. 🤷♂️

I still remember when people were blaming Obama for the botched handling of a hurricane that occurred during the G W Bush Administration. Let's not forget the "Obama phones," which was a reference to a federal program that was expanded to include cell phones by Bush.

Reminds me of Rafael "Ted" Cruz arguing the hoax BS in Congress, showing a series of graphs in which the average temperature spikes and goes back down. When he was finished someone else showed all of his data as a single graph, clearly showing the overall trend was indeed sharply increasing.
