Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.

One of my companies informed me they cancelled a $2m conference in Florida. Why ?

They didn’t feel they could pass on the incremental cost of tariffs. So they are cutting expenses.

That’s a city that lost a ton of tourism revenue.

The cost of tariffs isn’t just the cost of the tariff

The price of eggs in the US is spiking, mostly due to #H5N1 bird flu. Solving the problem requires urgent, important communications from the CDC & FDA* and rapid development of research by the NIH**

* Currently paused by Executive Order
** Grant reviews now all canceled

Egg prices are soaring again. Here’s why and what to expect
Bird flu has killed millions of hens in recent weeks, shrinking the supply of eggs and hiking up prices at grocery stores.

The birthright citizenship portion of the US Constitution is totally, inarguably unambiguous. No wiggle room. If the supreme court agrees to throw it out they are explicitly throwing out the entire document and our entire system of government.

Today, #KashPatel sent a letter to my counsel @markzaidesq.bsky.social threatening to sue & demanding I retract my MSNBC comments on his unfitness to serve as FBI Director. This follows his threats against media & political opponents, showing how he might act if confirmed. I stand by my statements.

My ride title today:

If you ever want to witness bad driver behaviour, ride past a school at drop off time 🤦‍♀️

Exhibit A. Car is double parked. I carefully rode down the empty bike lane past about 50 stationary cars.

With the $300,000,000 we are spending to expand a fairly empty stretch of i70 in the middle of the national forest, we could have built a sizable portion for the train to Boulder by now.

We need to stop saying “road safety is a shared responsibility.”

Highway engineers, automakers, and policymakers have the power to reduce the sky-high number of US crash deaths. Individual road users don't.

Who's really to blame—and who isn't—for America's traffic death epidemic
Politicians love to say that 'road safety is a shared responsibility,' but the reality is that some groups have a much larger duty than others.
