It's not a new argument, of course, but Chesterton dismissed it effectively in 1908.

"You will hear everlastingly... this argument that the rich man cannot be bribed. The fact is, of course, that the rich man is bribed; he has been bribed already. That is why he is a rich man."
Hawley dismisses Trump lining his pockets with his memecoin: "Listen, I think nobody believes that Donald Trump can be bought. I mean, what does Donald Trump need more money for?"

No, Democrats, these little auction signs aren't it. You're acting like Wes Anderson characters who don't understand that they're in a Tarantino movie.

Next year, the EU will require cars to have buttons & dials -- not just touchscreens -- to get a top safety rating.

This is a great move. Drivers can fiddle with knobs & buttons without taking their eyes off the road, but they can't do that with touchscreens.

(Even better: Tesla will hate this)
Cars will need fewer screens and more buttons to earn five-star safety rating in Europe
Euro NCAP will release new testing guidelines in 2026.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

See? Now you can go ahead and buy your OWN cancer research, and hire your own air traffic controllers, and fund your own emergency management for floods and fires.

Obviously I've been annoying about this all along but the thing is, it's all hypotheses until it isn't. The hypothesis "if I don't criticize the Dems I help them win" was certainly one somebody coulda formed over the last ten years. But, now it's had a good field test!
I’ve had a few people try the “why do you respond to everything bad Trump does by attacking Democrats” line on me.

I used to agree with that. Since 2016, I very rarely publicly criticized Democrats in the interest of solidarity.

I am DONE with that now. Utterly fed up.

Look where it got us.
