RCP and BAU is global. Some countries may be reducing their direct emissions and fossil fuel consumption a little. But they're also exporting manufacturing and relying on global transport. It's not at all clear that global emissions or global fossil fuel consumption is coming down at all, at all.

The UK, and China, are heavily investing in renewable electricity generation. So far that's powering growth, but it's not actually displacing fossil fuel consumption yet. And electricity generation is only a minority part of total fossil energy. Always beware exporting emissions as well.

BAU 1.0 seems to be exactly what we're following. Which is why CO2 atmospheric concentration growth is accelerating. Despite stories that fossil fuel consumption and CO2 production might be coming down.

There's a pretty good metaphor there for the flaggots and hotel botherers. By a spooky coincidence, we've got both in this district, with one of the highest Pro-Brexit votes.

Foul beliefs hidden beneath a thin veneer of legitimate concerns.

By a spooky coincidence, I'm trying to deal with a mountain of foul smelling waste hidden beneath a thin veneer of top soil in my local district, that had one of the highest proportion of Brexit voters in the country. What an excellent metaphor for the flag hags and hotel botherers.

It's time to publish the unredacted report from the Russia Political Interference inquiry. And then resurrect and widen it to include Russian political interference in the Brexit process.

Not just UKIP, Leave, Brexit Party, Reform but Johnson, Gove as well.

- Botivo. Somewhere between Suze, Fernet and Cocchi Americano. 25ml Botivo and a classic Schweppes tonic 150ml fills exactly the same function as a classic large G&T.

It's not a White (Suze) Negroni (frankly rubbish). And it's not totally unpleasant, but it's a little strange. Botivo makes a very good alcohol free G&T. The booklet also includes some low alcohol versions of classics like this one. Not entirely convinced.
