Democrats can and should be the party that delivers and talks about a strong economy, social justice and responsible national defense.

As a democrat, it is time for the Democratic Party to stop leading with issues that splinter the country and start communicating a message about what the current administration is doing to destroy the economy and what the Party can do and has in the past done to truly positively affect the economy.

DOGE announced major cuts in AmeriCorps funding late Friday, likely ending the Foster Grandparents and Sr Companion programs that are severely needed for the youth and elderly. My last year as a Sr Companion has been challenging and rewarding and my “clients” will be devastated if these are cut.

Before calling other people morons, Elon Musk should take a look at himself.
