I wish it had gone 100 issues.

All that crazy business with "The Ant Farm" and Ray Palmer(!) and "Blackbombs", just a bunch of mad ideas and mad science. He even got mixed up in all that Animal Man vs the Rot stuff. To me, these are compelling comics! Frank is bad of ass and always SO serious, it's great.

Matt Kindt took it over late in the run, and he was good. Ponticelli is his own best inker, though Wayne Faucher gave it a good shot. I was also unaware that Frank appeared in a bunch of issues of JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK around (after?) this time. I think Lemire was overseeing it, and it worked well.

Been fine, thanks! Hope you and yours have been well. It certainly has been a long time. Those were the days, huh. I admire guys like Mike Sterling who have continued to do it all these years.

He made a great appearance in the James Robinson Scarlet Witch 12-issue series about 10-12 years ago...also in the Aja/Fraction Hawkeye.

Lee (I insist) and Ditko, as if you couldn't tell.

I do like many of the character designs, especially the "Green Goose", which shouldn't work but it does.

lol, yeah, plenty of blame to go around. If they’d just let him have that 2 page spread back, we would have had a lot more great LSH stories from him.

Then Cockrum left in a snit, and Mike Grell took over, and I bailed not long after.

Saw them in 1981, on the Completion Backwards Principle tour... a little more restrained than in years past perhaps but still really good.
