They are chopping down forests near me in NY to build AI data centers. I can't even imagine what they're doing elsewhere in the world.

So my take is simpler: I like trees and I like breathing rather than AI.

I don't want to link the article to give them clicks, but I got an email about an AI article written about a paper of mine. MY paper is about a Neutrino Factory (which wasn't mentioned in their article) and the article, which was only about DUNE, was filled with inaccuracies.
