Anyone see a disconnect between “just how ill-prepared both the state and federal governments were” re the SA algal bloom, compared with our utter lack of preparedness for a shipping lane closure. We have only 30 days of fuel reserve, yet there’s no rush to electrify transport.

Odd thing about LNP crisis re 2050 climate Netzero policy is that dropping it is unpopular in rural as well as urban electorates. Modern farmers see benefits in renewables transition; better farm incomes; lower energy costs; less climate damage, floods, wildfires
