So a decade ago, I was diagnosed as a diabetic, my A1C was almost 13 and I was a few points away from being hospitalized for high blood glucose 500+
Today my A1C was 5.2 and we are talking about decreasing some of my medications. I haven’t used insulin since July. I’ll take it.

So I know I’ve been a bit of a downer lately but I have to share this conversation. Our neighbors 10 year old grandson who has come to visit the last few summers is going back to his broken home tomorrow, he’s such a good kid and we’ve tried to create a safe space for him… 🥹🥹

Still pretty painful and discolored… been fevering in and out today, hopefully that’s nothing… but I can’t be the shower without a bag on my arm, and that’s something.

Day 2 post-op and I’m already going stir-crazy. I put a bag on my arm and showered, seriously though how do people consistently just not do anything. 😭😭😭

Hey all, I am thankfully still alive. Surgery revealed more extensive damage to the cartilage in my wrist along with some lunate damage. It’s going to require more time to recover, so putting this out there again. I so appreciate all of you. 💚💚💚
