Omleiding November directed by Raoul Servais

it's hard to tell for me whether it's supposed to be death serious or not, the starting situation and the heavy handed-ness of a few scenes make me assume it's not and make for a much better (and nice) viewing experience imo.

electronics for dummies would have probably been enough for me for starters
but it kind of annoyed me so i switched to the practical electronics for inventors book to really *get* the fundamentals.

1 notebook for notes while reading & learning and 1 to repeat everything 🤓

The Vasulka Effect directed by Hrafnhildur Gunnarsdóttir

i wish they'd shown more of Steina's and Woody's art, dug deeper into their processes and explored it.
but it's a very nice documentary about 2 very delightful weirdos, if i get old i hope i'll stay as weird and curious as them <3

The Dumb Girl of Portici by P. Smalley, L. Weber

an entertaining silent era epic, that has some really impressive visuals and an impressive scale for it's age.

while there're things i dislked overall it's a good time & definitely worth watching just to see what filmmakers were capable back then.

Auge-Maschine I-III by Harun Farocki

had the words "everything is even so much worse now" playing in the back of my head while watching these 3 interesting shorts about automation, the automation of seeing and looking and the military industrial complex.

depressing asf.
