Marco Quarta: The Alliance for Longevity Initiatives is dedicated to advancing legislation and policies aimed at increasing healthy human lifespan, with a focus on accelerating equitable access to next-generation therapies. I am honoured to speak, representing Rubedo Life Sciences, in the panel on Global Economy around Longevity Initiatives with esteemed colleagues Raiany Romanni, PhD, John Mauldin and moderated by the wonderful Michael Ringel. This year the Summit takes place in Washington DC and is bringing together over three days key opinion leaders from around the world to discuss how we can advance legislative initiatives that support a healthier human lifespan. This is the time to increase the focus on such a critical and important topic and the time to increase the global effort to prevent a socio-economical upcoming crisis driven a growing aging population affected by chronic degenerative age-related diseases. The aging population, instead of being an emotional and financial cost for the society, can instead continue being positively active and enjoy more years of a good quality of life and health-span. Medicine 3.0, the Longevity Medicine, is here and society needs legislations and policies to sustain and support the emerging ecosystems and the players around it in healthcare, in industry, the payers and most importantly, the patients, the people, the society. Thank you to Brenda Eap PhD and Dylan V. Livingston for the invaluable work they are leading at A4Li and for organizing this Summit.

Kudos for identifying such a critical topic, and I look forward to the paper. Relatedly, I'd also say that chronological age is an unreliable proxy for an individual's health or needs, such as "retirement age". Geroscience hopefully will eventually provide reliable biomarkers of aging.
