That's actually never been my experience, I've only ever had positive feedback from people who have seen themselves in my work and they have asked for prints of those images 🙂

Hi. Most of my work is candid, making the moments I capture spontaneous and authentic. My images never exploit, my only aim is to tell stories of life in the city 🙂

My photos were taken last winter, making the most of the available light around shops & cafes in the city. At night, you need to be mindful of safety. I tend to stick to busy, well-lit areas, usually with a friend or two for company and inspiration 😄📸

Something about churches just go right through me

I made these images with a 250mm f5.6 mirror reflex lens. In the glittering autumn sunshine, out of focus areas
shimmer with donut shaped highlights, which I adore 🤩 It's not the easiest lens to focus, so it pays to take your time. But if you nail it, it's totally worth the extra effort 👌🏻🙂📸

In between the heavy showers, the clouds scuttled away and 'the light' was just lovely, low, golden & warm. It angled between buildings, lighting up faces & landing in random pools on the pavement.
The images here are from our walk, with my usual focus on people in the City. Thanks for looking 🤩
