What i am surprised about is the number of morons from my country posing as Right wing maga.

Like how bored are they with life?
X has changed their policy and now you can see where the accounts are based.

China is doing both. See the performance of their open source models. They are beginning to cook. Plus after the decision to avoid using US tech (which will cook them in the short to mid-term) it will allow them an almost unparalleled ability to pivot.
A fun question. In 5 years time, what looks better? The US’s enormous bet & capex on AI? Or China’s equally enormous bet and capex on renewables?
China has made cheap, clean energy available in huge quantities. The world should take the win econ.st/4oqFszB

I probably won't ever have kids in my future (not with counting AD) so spending time with my nieces is the best part of the last 10 years.

The arrival of my eldest niece probably stopped me from a lot of dark thoughts. The first time she held my hand firmly as a kid and i was totally bowled over.

Took my two nieces for a mani/pedi (so cute to see a 6 year old get one) then bought them clothes and finally a movie and an icrecream. A good day has been had.

Ahh the good days of BBSes.
That sounds about right. I ran into the earliest BBS systems probably around the same time as Captain Power was in production, so our long national nightmare began somewhere around 1987.
Wikipedia notes your B5-related online presence since "around 1991"; a footnote adds that your earliest fan-archived GEnie post "clearly references earlier discussions now lost to time"; also noted is that you "participated in many online forums since the 1980s."

@belghast.com Spot check.

I hope you are okay, buddy. I hope you are slowly recovering and life is being better and kinder.

You are in my prayers tonight.

Please take care.

India is Apple's 3rd largest market.

There is nothing to see here. A country with a 600 million plus middle class, huge aspirations and loads of spending ability.

It will keep growing for a few years more and will probably equal china in growth and numbers.

I bought myself a 17 pro max marking it as my return to iOS after years. I've always had some old iphone on hand but this is the first one in many years.

So far I am not a fan of iOS 26. It's smooth as expected but there are many little touches that I struggle with.

However when you have chicken samosas in front of you, everything else does not matter.

This is one of the most peaceful Diwalis in a long time. Dad was able to get out of bed, enjoy the food and generally have a good time.

I am thankful for that.

@lollyrots.com The littlest niece sends you a flying kiss. She randomly remembered you today when we were gaming together over video calls.

Finally cooling down
October 11, 2025 at 4:18 PM
I am so drained out. Both parents have had heart related issues this year. There has been extensive house rebuilding and a whole host of other issues. Diwali is a few days away and I am in no mood to celebrate anything.

The only gift I got myself this year was a new tv. It's kept me sane.

It's been a horrifying 24 hours. My dad had a heart attack and it was touch and go. The doctors stabilized him but watching him in that state has had me in a bad place.

Praying he recovers soon.
