This is something so simple that I hadn't even considered it. You've inspired me, I will be dedicating a notebook for game notes!

A solid demonstration of why everyone should be distrustful of this technology. Much like the algorithms that drive video and social media sites, these LLMs can be tweaked from the back end to suit their owners desires.

Musk is a fan of Nazism, should we be surprised that his tool reflects that?

The point of the technology isn't to make anything, it's to not pay anyone who does.

By and large, the corporate world incentivizes anti-social dispositions.

The best way to get ahead in the short term is to step on others to elevate yourself. If you can do this fast enough, you will be untouchable by those you've burned.

For real! Why is that 3/4 face buttons all do the same thing, but I HAVE to move the stick back and forth to do a spin? Why do I have to boost to use (most?) copy abilities?

I want to love this game, but some design choices are just frustrating.

for them, the deal is that in exchange for aid, they're owed a proper performance of poverty and humility that reinforces their superior position in the social hierarchy, and anything as small a preferring a condiment above one's station is an unacceptable act of defiance

💯

It's also why I think it's difficult to foster creative play outside pvp genres. In pve, there can only be so many programmed responses. Even with plenty of permutations, there is a far lower ceiling for possible player expression.

In other words, creativity is found in the neutral game - the space between combos.

Reading your opponent, conditioning them, reacting to them, these are decisions where different responses lead to different outcomes.

I think you are on the right track. In a fighting game, the creative element is not in the performance of a combo, but in the moments leading up to it.

Why? Because combo performance is memorization + execution, but getting to that point involves creative understanding.
