Photo of a page with a poem called Curlews The poem reads: On a failing clifftop path you halt and hush me, pull out from the ice-flecked air sad and steady minims fluting through a perfect fifth. This is their call. Curlews glissando the headland cluttered by gulls, riding out the crisis on soft thermals of aplomb. Love, let's take some notes.

The Sparrowhawk Sits so still on the high electrical wire, later in the pin oak with its beautiful rust-dark streaks on the breast, late light entering the black seep of the eye, for what seems like eternity. Thus can a bird like that be so ignored by all it will devour.
