I am angry with 8 traitors but “I quit, Dems have finally lost me” is a strategy that worked real well in 11/2024, right? Who is hurt most by choosing to help Republicans win because some Dems in office suck? Not them. Be angry at 90 M non voters. Dems are in minority b’cause voters put them there.

"Mr. Braun’s family used a connection to Mr. Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to obtain the commutation in January 2021. He is at least the eighth convict to whom Mr. Trump granted clemency during his first term who has since been charged with a crime."

In the too many years in the Senate, Jeanne, you did not gain the respect of Republican senators, the capacity to negotiate or use leverage to benefit your constituents or Americans overall on such a consequential matter as healthcare. You’ve only achieved a permanent large stain on your record.

You’ve accomplished nothing Jeanne. And you cavalierly thinking an acceptable outcome is Republicans maybe being held accountable next November is insulting given tens of thousands will lose ACA subsidies/healthcare, become ill & potentially die due to lack of care. You’ve flushed your reputation.

HSAs are much better. The post said FSA. HSA $ though also cannot (currently) be used for premiums. HSA $ can be invested, like stock market, which could lead to people not buying insurance with $$. Lots of rumors flowing about what may be offered for a vote.

FSA accounts are offered by employers. No employer, no FSA. FSA $ has to be spent by year end. Unless they change the law, FSA $ cannot be used to pay healthcare premiums.

If people want different conduct from Chicago Police they need to barrage with phone calls their city aldermen and mayor. If the feds are making legal arrests & respecting peoples rights (including right to film), then ok. Otherwise CPD should interfere.

Outstanding decision Turkey. I hope we’ll someday see Netanyahu & others in the Israeli government on trial and then life in prison.

It was a good offer by Dems. Extend ACA subsidies as they are for one year, simultaneously end shutdown. Negotiate about future ACA subsidies next. Rejection proves Republicans can’t be trusted to end shutdown & then decide on 2026 subsidies. @bennet.senate.gov @hickenlooper.senate.gov

Yes it is outrageous that a cop in NYC can make $260 k or more a year. Also, cop & fireman pensions in NYC are absurdly lucrative. NYPD budget, cop & fireman pension costs are so high that they are a big reason why prop & income tax rates are high & make affordability programs impossible to pass.

Massive turnout by NYC voters and not a close result. Their city, their choice. Huge respect for them exercising their right to vote. Bravo!

There’s not an “invalid” column. My guess is the ballots you’re wondering about (returned but not yet in Valid column) are waiting to be reviewed. So, I don’t think there’s like 25% invalid.

Trump ($400,000/year) and members of congress ($174,000/year) are still getting paid. Their salaries haven’t been “shutdown”. So…..

Nobody Trump cares about is flying commercial & going through TSA checkpoints. They are flying on private jets or taxpayer funded government planes. The competent, not corrupt, law abiding, compassionate, not a pedo, policy wonkish candidate misogynist racists passed on is looking pretty good huh.

For "just sue" people: Lawsuits mean taxpayers pay victims. Lawsuits are not an incentive for "law enforcement/immigration" agents we see breaking the law to stop doing so. We have to push state/local police & presecutors to arrest & charge those we see breaking the law. Call those local officials.

Limited SNAP benefits and high inflation means regular people aren't in a position to buy cake. And pedo Trump is certainly not going to give regular people anything free, let alone cake.

Well, the 77 million who voted for him & the 90 million who didn’t vote are honestly not simply dumb but extremely stupid. I don’t like Trump but he knows the supermajority of voters quite well. Double strap in for the next 3+ years, it is going to get colossally worse. Supreme Court is worthless.

Trump: ‘Hmmm, which appeal first? Sending troops unnecessarily into American cities to scare citizens or continuing to not send between $187-$292 per month per person to Americans so they won’t starve? So unfair. Trump wants both! Crooked judges. Nobody does evil better than Trump!’

Translation: Trump has already told the 6 Republicans on the Supreme Court how they should rule so there’s no need to, in his opinion, waste his time attending court proceedings.

I’ve voted in every election since age 18. Primary, General, referendum, etc; I voted. I’ve even voted in every HOA election when I owned in one. Do that, call your political employees weekly, phone bank, write postcards, protest marches, +. Massive participation, at polls especially, gets attention
