Perhaps the worst choice America made was to hold elections in November. That “Fuck it, we’ll fix it next year” energy is like holding it at 11:15 PM New Years Eve. To truly harness that “I’m joining a gym, for a month” energy, Election Day should be held, ironically, on Jan 6.

This is by far the best analysis of the election I have read, and spot on. Resonated with me to the core. It does not offer a solution, but at least it stares the problem directly in the face, unblinkingly. That's a start.

In 1995 evil owner Art Modell moved the Cleveland Browns, who had existed for over 50 years, to Baltimore and called them the Ravens. Just 4 years later a new team arrived in Cleveland with the Browns name, uniforms and history.
Point is, by 2026 this place will be called Twitter.

Denver Nuggets have such an unfair advantage, based on altitude. NBA needs to correct. Based on sea level. ie Knicks home games: shoot on 100' rim. Nuggets: shove a ball into an impossibly deep 4000 foot hole.
