Margaret Brennan to Tom Suozzi: "Can you explain the focus this past week in the House by Democrats on the Jeffrey Epstein files? Is this a tactic to distract from the failure to extract healthcare changes?"

In December 2018, Epstein wrote about Trump: “I am the one able to take him down.”
Eight months later, Epstein was found dead in a prison run by the Trump administration.
Weird coincidence.

When lawmakers refuse to take action on gun violence, we run for office and take their jobs.

Voters chose former Virginia Moms volunteer Abigail Spanberger as their next governor, and 13 of our Virginia volunteers were elected to the Virginia House—constituting 20% of the historic House majority.
Beyond Spanberger, women fuel a Democratic resurgence in Virginia
In Tuesday’s election, women made history in the executive branch, set records in the House of Delegates — and evoked pride from female leaders of generations past.

The only thing that I can take away from the Dems caving, is that we deserved to lose. We earned it. Earned and deserve it with our apathy, and fecklessness. I am fucking disgusted to my core. I am tired. Thanks for fucking nothing. I hope Schumer gets carted off to The Hague too. He’s a whole 🗑️ can

Absolutely amazing: they've got so much solar in Australia that they need more people to use more of it, so the gov't has instructed energy retailers to offer *at least three hours of free power* during the middle of the day.

Meanwhile fossil-addled US struggles with an energy-price crisis ...
Energy retailers to be directed to offer free power three hours a day
Saying there is enough solar power for everyone in the daytime, Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen will direct retailers to provide three hours of free power every day to consumers.

People thought we were nuts to give it (and all the underlying data) away for free. But we insisted.

Indiana has turbocharged a crackdown on anyone who has criticized Charlie Kirk after his death. Top officials have been channeling public anger into a kind of internet hotline, where submissions are displayed publicly on a government website.
