1000% agree with you.

They try to put the Black Experience into one little box or bubble, but that has never been true. It's crazy when sometimes we police our own with the lies that we've been told about ourselves.

We also have this HARSH aversion to black people being weird and enjoying different things… I wouldn’t wanna be at this party, (I’d rather shake some ass to City Girls), but we love putting our own in harsh boxes, then being angry when white folks do it to us. It’s counterproductive.

Also, I feel like telling black people they can’t enjoy things, or don’t belong in spaces is also anti-blackness…

There weren’t many, but there were definitely prominent black people in the 19th century that were aristocrats and had money. None of them would’ve had fresh hairlines.

I think some people do their surrogates without contracts to reduce the cost and cut out the “middle man”… which is problematic.
