Correct. Self interest is to protect yourself, even if you give up your humanity little by little. It's only later once it's much too late you realize that you gave everything away for nothing in return.

Gerade stolpere ich über dies hier und denke darüber nach, wie in einem solchen Fall die Umstehenden in Deutschland reagieren würden. Eigentlich will ich glauben, dass so etwas hier (noch!) nicht möglich ist. --> Bis jetzt habe ich keine Verifikation des Ablaufs.
