I just don’t see how we can pretend even for a moment that anything involving our federal government is remotely normal when the president is covering up his involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. Like, what are we doing here

Having grown up in Puerto Rico I so enjoy having a fraught relationship with Cuba, be almost at war with Venezuela while hesitating about visiting DR bc of its relationship to Haiti./s

Divide & conquer truly pulled a number on us.

Love thy neighbor, they said.

An actor once told me that, after rehearsals with me, she would go home & cry. I thought it was bc of my tone of voice, my strength.

Years later, ever so casually, she told the story again, with a new detail: she would cry bc when I expressed to the ensemble what I wanted, they would “just do it.”

Cynthia Erivo has accomplished something I thought impossible: she’s made me fall in love with a musical.

Others had come close: Ciccone & Banderas; Zellweger, Gere & Zeta-Jones; Alan Cumming & Natasha Richardson.

But this is something else. And I already loved Ariana!

And then I began enjoying pistachio lattes.

How am I not myself?

Some boycotts take longer than others.

Back on this app—my disappearance from meta has commenced.

Sad, honestly. I liked my ig photos.

Better times will come.

Thankfully I've been busy,
Blissfully unaware;
Oh, I saw it coming,
I knew it'd come to this
And worse.

May the angels take whole the lot of them
Into their multi-optic, feathery realm of
Revenge.

How's the blue sky?

One hot take that I would like to see vanish in the second Trump era is the thing of calling actual actions that harm people “a distraction.”

It’s the fascism AND the grift, folks. It’s not an either/or.

And anything that causes harm to vulnerable people deserves our full attention, period.

My predictions for the incoming administration are so dark I prefer not to share them. Trying not to be part of the problem with alarmist musings.

But.

Who will stop it?

How will it be stopped?

The strangeness of the last couple of weeks cannot be understated.

I’d wish to remember it all, but how?

From trans panic to illiteracy; from (wrongly) the price of eggs to Janet Jackson putting into question the VP’s race (then doubling down on the hate!).

Fascism reveals who everyone is.
