That’s pretty remarkable. This map, from the US National Weather Service, shows a slight chance Wed. of severe thunderstorms over parts of Western WAS and OR and a marginal chance over a much wider swath of the PNW. To put this in perspective, this happens about once every never.

Potentially historically strong low pressure system about to form right off the BC coast. Fortunately, the strongest winds will remain offshore, but winds on Vancouver Island will be strong enough to cause some power outages. Storm intensity will max out Tuesday afternoon/evening.
