Every other day I lose hope in humanity. But I know a people who are capable of rising up and a God who is for them. Question is, will they actually unite and rise up or will it be more of the same?

People can’t catch a break can they smh
Sometimes you just have to ask—why? The Senate voted to strike down a rule capping most bank overdraft fees at $5, a measure introduced by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau that was expected to save Americans billions each year.

Hope the PCUSA takes a better stance. The convo at GA last year was important. People will suffer because we take a stand. The church has to be willing to take a stand though and find other ways to help our people who depend on fossil fuel investments.

Since Grad school I’ve been using purpose pens. And I didn’t know why. But now I think it’s just cause I really resonate with the womanist aesthetic that comes out of its first definition. “Lavender is to Purple as Feminist is to Womanist.” - Alice Walker

I’m bold. Deep. Intense. Beautiful.

Reading Katie’s Canon for a 2nd time more seriously & for inquiry sake via Dr. Fry Brown’s class and I just hate that I didn’t get to know Rev. Dr. Canon while she was yet alive. I truly had no clue who she was until I was discerning a call to ministry in 2018. That makes me so sad. It’s so rich!

In this regime, any and everybody who gets in their way will be disposable. You are only important when you have a common enemy and interest.

Here’s what we already knew. DEI & DEIA haters only care about race.
Conservative opponents of DEI may not be as colorblind as they claim
New research suggests anti-Black racism plays a key role in conservative anti-DEI sentiment.

I’m looking forward to whatever this account can become. Ready to engage, laugh, think critically and just shoot the breeze.
