this could've so easily gone bad in so many ways and the fact that it doesn't is frankly nothing short of a miracle. a very well handled continuation, completely retaining the tone while existing in a very different time. the only thing i'm wanting is more.

holds up more than its prequel. it hews a little too easy compared to its predecessor, but i prefer the approachablity. it's got a weird, off beat style, and it's responsible for introducing wario, so i love it unquestioningly

i don't love it as much as 1's soundtrack, but there's some tracks that i'm surprised i liked as much as i did, in particular verity's theme and the endgame theme

we used to make music videos for the art of it

uhhhhhh maybe i just don't like konaka's work after all. i mean, i liked it more than lain, and i think it's more consistent than 02, with some dark moments that work, but it's just not as strong as internet talk seemed to imply to me. a lot of "because it does, shut up" in this tale

filled with depth both in terms of narrative and mechanics. the part that really bothered me was when i was forced to engage with the slot machines in the casino, but the rest of the time it's a top tier experience, and i'm glad i fully finished it

i don't think this is the huge landmark they've made it out to be especially since they eventually went back on jason's death, but it did ultimately give us the "Man, Dick is good!" panel so it's impossible to say whether it's good or not.

i basically agree with everyone. scorsese's segment is the best, with a depth the other two lack, coppola makes a rubbish kids movie. allen, meanwhile...i've heard endless negativity about him, and not without good reason, but his segment was pretty funny.

hey it's that guy from the rasmus. dramatic cello metal, although not quite as exciting as i was hoping on a closer listen - still, the lead track "Life Burns!" is a hell of a song, and it's...the one without the band's central gimmick? sure

have you ever felt like something was perfectly written to appeal to you? that's how this felt. the world is fully realized and every character has a distinct, meaningful arc with conclusions that made me cry more than once. ryoko kui is a masterful mangaka
