Last night I had a big cry and let myself air the fears I hold of long Covid and losing capacity. I’m two weeks in. I have no reason to believe I won’t recover. People of all health statuses have Covid and have different outcomes.

- difficult things happen. The end of that sentence is not and never will be “because I fucked up/stood on a crack/stopped tensing my body at the wrong time/fell off the tightrope”
- cruel inner thoughts are rampant under pressure, and they’re lies
- be kind
- do less

- my life is already adapted and robust in the face of disability and fluctuating capacity
- life isnt a precarious minefield I have to navigate without misstep
- I am not in control of the outcome of this Covid infection or current status of my health and capacity
