My wife, who’s been half paying attention while wrapping up a baking project: “ok what the hell happened to you in the last hour that now you’re too upset to watch the postgame???”
Spent the entire World Series feeling completely ambivalent between these two teams but after that 9th inning I’m somehow going to be completely gutted if the Jays lose

I waited until the end of the bottom of the tenth (Raleigh IBB and Julio ground out) to leave a bar in deep Brooklyn, did a 90 minute commute to uptown Manhattan, and am now seated in my apartment for the top of the 15th.

Discussing with family whether to upgrade our iPhones 11-13, which all work perfectly well except the batteries have gone to total shit. Caused me to revisit the excellent book on degrowth, LESS IS MORE by Jason Hickel. Some chapters are all philosophy but there are concrete policy proposals, too:
