This picture came up in my memories yesterday, and made me well up a bit. This was 5 years ago, right after my leg was chopped off. I had just got home after a few months in the hospital, Argos took it upon himself to sit with me most days and guard my stump from evildoers while it healed.

I am old. I have been playing and later, GM'ing TTRPG's since the mid 80's.

What's nice about that experience is now when I start up a new game with the group, I have even more anxiety about doing a horrible job then I did when I was a younger man.
