Drawing on EDA, self-report, & speech content, we found that medical residents clustered into an ‘emotionally balanced, minimal arousal group” showed a higher propensity for confronting a senior medical resident (SP) behaving unprofessionally during a sim.

We found that medical residents randomly assigned to complete an anti-harassment simulation after watching an educational video on bystander interventions behaviorally outperformed those who completed the simulation before watching the video.

Using machine learning (lasso) we found that human coding of self- and socially-shared regulation strategies predicted medical residents electrodermal activation (EDA) during a medical simulation.

We developed an animated story-driven media literacy video to improve media credibility accuracy—it was a lot of fun! We also evaluated it, looking at credibility accuracy 🎯 & epistemic emotions 😊🤯😅🧐

In simulated crisis resource management training, successful leaders made more frequent use of communication, organizational, & group regulation strategies & were better able to leverage their medical teams’ assets than those who did not. Our newest pub out today!
