I think the skull is inverted, with its topside down, but I am not completely sure?
It was a fun fossil to stumble into.

Zapata was really something.

Worked the door for Tad, Nirvana, and the Gits in 1990. You can see a young scared shitless me in the front looking up at the guy jumping off the stacks. He climbed up and tried that jump again but the seas parted and he hit the floor pretty hard.

I kind of ran out if space! Sorry, that is an Enaliarctos specimen that Bobby B wrote up. One of the best things I have ever found!

There were some winters with epic exposure back in the early 2000s that probably skew my opinion of those beaches. But when the sand is gone that stretch can be amazing. I suppose that can be said of lots of places on the coast! Here some nice exposure from 2004 with a neat find!

Have you tried the stretch from Beverly Beach down to Lost Creek in the late winter/early spring? I bet you could find a scallop or two.
