Not a lot of time today again, but I was able to get things done regardless
I added some materials based on the height of the object, and instead of doing the spline thing like I was talking about last night I added another texture and am multiplying that image by the map. So now I have this!

The 2nd thing I did today was generate Perlin noise with hexagons on top. I can scale this grid up and down as much as I like. When I have freetime I'd like to actually expand this by setting splines around the grid and make walking paths. We'll see.
suggestions or tips would be appreciated :)

As my 1 day weekend comes to an end, I just wanted to share what I did today. 2 more **Not very big scale** project in Unity. The first goes into Color math where I take 2 colors, and Add subtract or multiply them together. It will also show you the RGB channels above the final result.

Today was the first day of the switch and I can already tell that this was a good decision. At least for me. Its truly so nice to sit down, watch a tutorial and write C# for a simple character controller by SpaderDaBomb who did a great job explaining what he was doing while explaining monostandards.
