Only read through once so this is very incomplete, but even with the caveats about "soft bs" & "bs machine" there's an inherent anthropomorphism with applying "bullshit" to LLMs. They are essentially prediction engines, so I have a hard time agreeing LLMs make propositions that can hold truth values

Murkowski and Collins are no votes today, both citing Hegseth's infidelity and character. Literally no Rs care about the fact that he's blatantly unqualified, because none of Trump's nominees are qualified and the piebald fucks in the Senate don't want that line of questioning.

So I guess we're done with running a career in politics up the ol' flagpole huh? Because this kind of political analysis earns you a third place finish in a city council race.

Senate Rs don't care about qualifications, so the only chance Ds have to tank this nomination is shame, shock & delay.

adjusted for inflation, even at $100US games are cheaper today than they ever have been before.

Also, it's simply not possible to offer physical and be cheaper. The move to digital is one of the key reasons game prices has stayed the same for the last 30 years.

Building multiple breaks into the main narrative to remind players to do side quests takes away the FOMO and has impacted my feeling of accomplishment.

Would you care to make a wager? GTA6 will have historic preorders, D1 & D7 sales, and will spike console & PC hardware sales to their highest levels in years. GTA is a force of nature.

Slightly different context for me. I'm credited on 60+ projects, but if you count up the shovelware and the cancelled projects the body count is well over 200.

Every single one is a struggle. If I can be proud of Fighter Within...well, let's just say nothing could be as bad as Fighter Within

It might not feel like it in the moment, but getting a game out the door under any circumstances is a small miracle. Be proud.

I hope more people in this thread read this comment because it's spot on.

Through the early 2000s every game was essentially an indie game and they all cost $100+ in 2025 dollars.

I can't speak much about indies, but as someone who has spent 25 years in publishing, it's perpetually shocking and upsetting that I paid roughly the same price for a day 1 game in 1997 as I can in 2025.

Any man who said "We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope" knows an awful lot about pool.

But srsly, calling your shots is the most critical part of every beginning hustler's journey!
