Stand up comic. Improv comic. Human being. This guy does it all!
I have a grandfather who saw the town of his birth go from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, to Poland, to the Soviet Union, and if he had lived another decade or so he would have seen it be in Ukraine.

Because it's in the European Broadcasting Area, a geographical region defined by the UN. So are Cyprus, Morocco, Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan, all of which have competed in Eurovision. Other eligible countries include Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Tunisia, and Algeria.

One of my all-time favorite movies, a true underrated classic. Hall of fame performances from Pacino and Sean Penn.

His Captain Atom with Cary Bates was also great. And I recently read his Micronauts stuff, where he pulled off the nearly impossible task of following Michael Golden.

I’d expect Weapons and Bugonia to make most lists too.

But really, as far as I’m concerned 2025 is the year of One Battle After Another in a class by itself and then whatever else came out as a lower tier.

I graduated high school with the guy who wrote the Moana and Zootopia movies. He’s done a lot of other stuff at Disney too. We had classes together and were friendly but not particularly close friends.

I'm cheating by naming multiple favorites (including a team), but these are all quality superheroes that deserve more attention and how can I pick just one?

Well at least you don’t need to worry about replacing the engine any time soon!

How barely? I found my savings on maintenance/insurance/etc more than cover the cost of Zipcar and Lyft given how infrequently I need to drive.

There's a Tales of the Arabian Nights one but I'm pretty sure One Thousand and One Nights is out of copyright so no licensing needed.

Not so much here on Bluesky, but on FB and Insta, my timeline is dominated by DC Comics (Superman and Batman) and DC Comics (people in Washington who tell jokes in front of crowds)

In that case, I’m surprised Maryland isn’t participating

I’m surprised Maryland and Delaware aren’t participating.

I was just the right age for the early 80s revival which put them in an anthology series (and occasional crossover) with Space Ghost and that show was THE BEST!

I saw Oh Mary the other week. It was phenomenal and hilarious. Jinkx Monsoon absolutely slays in the title role.

Smoky, which is how he is known to his riders (in the manner of Silver), was a cow horse at New Trier Ranch in Winnetka, Illinois, for forty years and was generally acknowledged to be the best in the business.

My friends and I discovered Queen the summer of 1991. Freddie died that November and the Wayne’s World movie came out February 1992. Being the cool teens we were, we were mad about all the bandwagon fans (completely oblivious to the fact that we were two decades late to the Queen party).

Freddie Mercury. My friends and I had discovered classic rock not long before and had gotten really into Queen.

Joe Strummer and George Harrison were two more that broke my heart. And losing Joey, Johnny, and Dee Dee Ramone in the space of a few years was also devastating

Adam Schlesinger too.
