Wait. Wha—- what!? 😳😮 Even if he was joking, that’s still just as bad.

Aww this is great! It’s one of my favorite Chicago buildings too. Love the cross-bracing beams. My only gripe is the shortening of the second antenna/ mast some years ago. I’ve not gotten over that 😩

How are the same people who led the party to defeat by a megalomaniac still in leadership positions?

I’ve heard that Chicago’s transit service declined a lot during the pandemic. I last used it in 2019 - quite frequently. I had *very* few to no complaints. What’s your current experience, besides what’s posted?

This is really the stupidest shit we’ve ever lived through. And there’s no easy way out of it.

I have been involved in politics on some level for the past 20 years. But now I feel defeated. Like I live amongst a bunch of people who couldn’t give a shit about the country or me. So why should I. And as I type this, I’m just getting angrier.

Detachment. Anger. Just like the days and weeks after Nov 5. Every time I hear about “resistance” I get even angrier though - which is a weird emotion considering the circumstances. I feel politically paralyzed. The few weeks over the holidays when I briefly forgot about this shit were the best.

Thank you

100% this. And don’t ask me fucking protest shit. Americans don’t care anyway. Everyone who voted for this will get what’s coming and I guess the rest of us, and the world, are collateral damage. Stupidest people on the planet who don’t deserve super power status.

I went to Altadena the other day and was surprised. I didn’t know it had such a big Black population. But in general, it was heartbreaking seeing so many people lose so much.

Seems as though people aren’t able to separate out overall economy and conditions that lead to high prices (including greed). And they’re generalizing their overall unhappiness to the economy.

Why are people having an aneurism over such a simple truth? Housing is unaffordable and also the overall economy is good. I see how Trump won. Americans in general are really unwell.

I need to try this. I’m finding it very difficult to delete X though. It’s like an addiction. But your post may just be the inspiration I need.

I don’t have enough popcorn for all this 😆
