Agreed.
But I do absolutely hate the phrase and how much attention is currently given to “the performative male.”

Merriam-Webster has some fun things to say about rack vs wrack:
“You should use the noun wrack for those happy moments in your life when you need to refer to a wrecked ship or some form of marine vegetation.”

To the poster hung up on “fairy tales,” the sociology of religion is a vastly different subject than the mythologies of religion.
Also, I would even argue that there is some inherent value in studying fairy tales insofar as they give insight into the human experience.

Jarring juxtaposition seen at a bus stop on Market Street in San Francisco- a poster commemorating Rev. Cecil Williams and Janice Mirikitani, “people’s prophets,” mere feet from a sidewalk billboard for some AI company that exhorts the viewer to “stop hiring humans.”

Hahaha, ffs! Even in my very white, very Midwest, very Evangelical Christian family, my cousins have their children refer to me as Uncle Jason. Also, anyone who has ever read or watched anything from the Global South should know that Auntie and Uncle are often synonymous with “older relative.”

Also not the point, but I love Red Baraat and seem to always miss them when they play in the Bay Area. Like, I usually find out a weekend after they’ve performed.
