Medicare for All is an actually redistributive program that would generate large income gains for middle- and working-class people. But Biden disparaged Bernie’s 2017 bill as fiscally untenable and vowed he would veto it. And like Obama, he promised—and then reneged on—a public option.

The phrase "‘tis the season" comes from the Christmas carol, "Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly."

The contraction "‘tis" for “it is” was overtaken by 'it’s' in modern speech and remains mostly only in the phrase “’tis the season.”

It’s the season to be jolly.
