Why can people say Brett Favre's last name as "farve" instead of "favor" but can't pronounce Leila's last name as she does? For a time I thought there were two people at NPR with names that were incredibly close, yet slightly different.

Years ago, I didn't have mayo on hand and had to make them with a deli horseradish sauce instead. I've done it that way ever since.

I work in a university and we still use those. I like to check them out to see how long they've been in circulation - the longest time between the first dated use and my use has been 22 years, so far. It's nice to see that there are some things where you can't really improve on the design.

USA here - Worst holiday was Thanksgiving 1999. Couldn't get "home" so went out to only open store - K-Mart. Bought a turkey summer sausage, crackers, and mustard. Got Dino Crisis for my OG PlayStation to occupy the 4 day weekend. Ended up beating the game in about 7 hours and nothing else to do.

I rotate what I put on my banana bread - cream cheese, creamy peanut butter, or whipped salted butter - because I can't decide which I like best.

Same with my wife. She's a teacher and has always had proactive assistance from her union reps whenever she has needed it. There should be more unions, for more fields.

Any one of our friends could kill us by accident. Doesn't mean you should stop making new ones.

I have an empty milk jug from 3 years ago with my birthdate on it. I won't throw it out and justify keeping it to my wife by filling it to wash down the dog's mess in the yard when he's got diarrhea. Can't toss it if it's useful!

Almost forgot the best part - it still has the Circuit City price tag.
