🚆🛴🚲We don't think a blanket ban of e-bikes and e-scooters from trains is the best way forward. A more nuanced approach is needed, addressing safety but not losing the obvious advantages for first mile/last mile connectivity.

New post discussing this weekends fare changes

TLDR; I don't think it's the right approach, Reduction in the base costs for everyone make more sence than targeted incentives.

The US exports twice as much to us as we do to them. Time for some retaliatory tariffs.

First up: American cars.

Our streets could benefit from fewer shit-house stupidly large 'pickup trucks' that don’t fit in standard car parks.

New F1 TV Graphics, 2025 compared with 2024.
I don't love the varsity font; it is jarring next to the very round and flowing F1 font. Here's hoping it grows on me.

HEY EVERYONE REMEMBER WHEN TRUMP WAS IMPEACHED FOR DENYING AID TO UKRAINE BECAUSE HE WANTED ZELENSKY TO LIE AND SAY BAD THINGS ABOUT BIDEN AND ZELENKSY WOULDN’T DO IT?

Maybe literally one fucking American newspapers could mention this in their, “think pieces,” about what happened yesterday.

Extending Lara Route 11 to Avalon is a sensible, low-cost option that would also increase the usefulness of the currently small and underutilized route.
Jarrod lives 13km from work. His commute often takes more than an hour
About one in five people in this suburb are unemployed, while a nearby employment precinct is almost unreachable without public transport links.

The BBC doing a story on Zelensky’s attire is precisely the problem.

Journalists who can’t see the game is rigged, hacks who enjoy the sideshow, they hand power to the carnival barkers who rip off everyone.

Is this really the way into #Geelong station from the north-west (eg Pakington St shops) and the station car park? A narrow footpath through a dingy tunnel, then up some stairs?
Must be delightful when it's dark and/or raining.

I don't care how cheap the fare is, Public transport still can't get me from home to work in under 90 minutes for what is a 15 minute drive. This is entirely due to a lack of service frequency resulting in huge waits to interchange between busses.
The Greens have got this wrong 🙅

Had the displeasure of missing a 703 bus by mere seconds only to find the next service was over 20 minutes away. There's 4 buses per hour so theoretically should be every 15 minutes... But Ventura's timetable is so damn patchy that there's gaps up to 24 minutes. Really weakens a "premium" service.

The fault that delayed my train from Bendigo was at Albion. It seems now a fault nearby at Sunshine has disrupted the Ballarat and Geelong lines.
Note PTV's weird way of prioritising these items, with the one that has halted all trains listed underneath less important notices.🙄

We got moving again after 45 minutes. Arrival into Melbourne about an hour late. On the bright side, my onward connection runs about every ten minutes, so no long wait for me.
I see some of the screens at SoCross Station are still playing up, as reported recently.
