It's been over 5 years since I saw someone on YouTube building a mobile game which led to me writing my first line of code as a kid during the first lockdown. Since then, I've landed my first developer job while I was still in school and I will start my bachelor studies now.

Thanks to the awesome community behind react-native-maps I might be able to publish moto-meet in the next few weeks!
With the package now working with the new architecture and expo, I am in the final phase of development. There are still some bugs, but I am sure they will be fixed very soon!

Sadly, this doesn't seem to work with react-native. Still looks really impressive!

Today, the home screen of Moto Meet got a makeover.
You can now see interesting rideouts directly after starting the app. This includes rideouts you have signed up for, rideouts in the next week and the next rideouts in your area!

Let me know what you think #motosky

I have updated the navigation structure of Moto Meet.
The rideout search is now under the same tab as the rideout map. I think this is quite an elegant solution for the UX while keeping the UI clean and simple.
Let me know what you think about it #motosky

I think I have come to a more or less final approach on the latest page of my current project Moto Meet!
What do you think of the design?
April 12, 2025 at 10:18 PM
Today I created a temporary UI to test the database function filtering rideouts I developed a few days ago.

Although this is not the final design, here's a first look:

Today I have created a PostgreSQL function to project all the rideouts in a circular area around a specified location during a given time period.

I am looking forward to use this functionality in my frontend soon!

Getting back to the development of Moto Meet!
The latest feature I added is profile pictures. Users can now upload any image from their photo library. They can crop the image to match the aspect ratio. Then the image get's resized, converted and uploaded to the server.

Currently looking into Minecraft plugin development again.

It's been a long time since I developed my last plugin and figured it would be best to do a course first. I found an awesome course on Udemy and I'm looking forward to create my own public server after finishing the course!

Stay tuned!

geospy.ai looks just like AI reverse geoguessr. If it works just as good as the demos, that would be equally impressive and scary.
GeoSpy | Find a Photo's Location Instantly
Easily find a photo's location with GeoSpy, the AI-powered tool for precise photo geolocation. Perfect for investigations, OSINT, and discovering where photos were taken.

The things that psychologically harm me the most are definitely not enough sleep and too much social media.
Realization is the first step to improvement.
But from my experience, spending less time on social media can be really tough.

Me and a few friends decided to try out one unusual, extraordinary restaurant every month.
New cuisines, interesting dishes, concepts and so on.
Really looking forward to these events.
In addition to eating nice food, this idea led to the idea of my new project: Table Team.
January 20, 2025 at 11:03 AM
There has been some progress.
My new project Table Team is coming along great.
So far I've only been working on basic functionality, but here's what I got so far:
- Login/Signup
- Language selection
- Theme toggle
- Profile editing
- Profile deletion
Now I'll start developing the specific features!
January 17, 2025 at 1:42 PM
The first bricks for my latest small side project have been laid!
Let me introduce you to "Table Team"!
This should become an app where you and your friends can plan and schedule events to try out special, extraordinary restaurants!
January 14, 2025 at 10:11 PM
I have started a side quest (A new small mobile app)!
It's the first time I really planned most of the structure before starting development.
Until now, I have made mockups/sketches, a database structure, database security rules and a list of the database functions needed.

I feel like YouTube is getting trashed with AI generated videos with monotonous voiceovers
January 2, 2025 at 2:37 PM
I just had a SCARY conversation with ChatGPT.
At some point, ChatGPT said that the given results may not be close to my location, with the exact (pretty small) city I live in.
After that, I asked, how ChatGPT knew my location.

The hardest part about developing an app is bringing it to life.

Once it has enough active users, it can live by itself. The way there is the toughest part.

A LOT has happened since my last update here:

Here are the top additions to my current project:
- Added localization for German and English
- Added support for both iOS and Android
- Some small fixes all over the app

Stay tuned for more updates!

I have just set up my new MacBook for development.
Definitely going to take a look into Cursor, a promising looking, AI code editor based on Visual Studio Code.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Todays addition to my current react native project:

- Finished the rideout information page
- Added signup functionality to rideouts
- Users can sign up with a bike from their collection

I like free, ad-free apps.

That's why I like to keep my apps free and try not to include annoying advertisements in them.
This makes it a challange to generate revenue, but for now that's my way to go!

Why is there 300 character limit on new bluesky posts, but I can add an alt text of up to 2000 characters for every image I post?
