But this is to misunderstand the purpose of fan fiction. Fan fiction starts with the itch of dissatisfaction, it is the art of emotional correction. When what is canon fails to deliver, the fan fiction writers step in, armed with Word documents and righteous indignation. You think this character deserved more hand-holding? Fine. Someone out there is writing 10,000 words of forehead kisses and mutual healing right now. Because fan fiction isn't just rewriting, it's repairing. It's giving yourself the closure you need when the author won't. It's deciding that pain can end differently, that love can be louder, that characters who were doomed in print get to live this time. It's literature written by people who refused to move on and sometimes these people spell really badly (and that is completely OK). And yes, it's rebellion. Against gatekeeping, against prestige, against the assumption that stories only count when they make money. Fan fiction exists because readers loved something so much they refused to let it die.

SO this scene happened after the almost kiss and the dessert scenes. not gonna lie, these two wanted each other, the tension between these touch starved human beings was barely bearable. and one day murat couldn't fall asleep (cus of the fade or the thoughts abt one certain man), decided to make himself a tea and have a little chat with his friend while he waits. well... the water in the kettle almost boiled away because these two unexpectedly decided to start a sword fight. murat just wanted to finally kiss him, and lucanis imagined a certain scene from the book he read and thought that now or never. but murat didn't mind. after that they started boyfriending more and were less afraid of touching each other. well, for murat it was okay, lucanis was probably still a little afraid cus it was something very new to him.

WIP
Half Finished Illustration of the Tower of Cirith Ungol in Mordor. In the foreground a black stony path is rim lit with a sickly green light. A miasma hovers in the chasm below. In the middle ground is a cliffside fortress accessible via stone bridge. so far only the top of the tower is lit with the same sickly green. Columns of smoke billow out of the tower. in the background over the Ethel Duath and plains of Gorgoroth, Orodruin churns out a sulphurous fume into the red sky. Gonna add some goblins and whatnot in the foreground eventually. On the right is the working palette. I am using the Sonny Ross Muppet Colour Theory for this one.
