Comic writer, Bass player, Goth, lover of all things nerdy and creepy, writer of Death Watch, and hated liberal hippie aka progressive Democrat.

Don't DM me unless I ask you, no crypto, no AI.
I love Chris Claremont's work, especially the stuff that he wrote for the X-men.
His stuff was so impactful that much of it is still felt in comic books even today.

Throne of Blood is an adaptation of Macbeth and directed by the great Akira Kurasawa.

Despite the different setting, the story is still one of the best adaptations of the source material.

Ultimate Thor is my favorite story out of the Marvel Ultimate line.

You ask why? It's got Thor fighting Nazi frost giants, no more need be said.

Three Outlaw Samurai is a great film about three samurai who are sent out with a large group of guards to round up some villagers who have kidnapped the evil lord's daughter in order to get him to listen to their plight.
The Samurai take pity on them and decide to fight, though it seems hopeless.

After the Avenger Disassembled story ended, Thor went into hiatus for a few years, however when he reemerged it was with one of the strongest stories he'd had in quite a while, penned by the likes of J. Michael Straczynski and Kieron Gillen.

The Samurai Trilogy tells the life's story of Miyamoto Musashi through the course of three films.

It starts when he is a brash youth until when he is older, wiser, and far more skilled.

Another of my favorite Thor runs is the one written by Dan Jurgens, which includes many artists like John Romita Jr, Stuart Immonen, Erik Larsen, and Andy Kubert.

Yojimbo is a great film about a Ronin (wandering samurai) who comes across a village that is caught between the fighting of two rival Yakuza gangs.

The Incal is another great comic book story which was illustrated by Moebius.
Once again his work is the pinnacle of great detailed sequential art, especially when he goes into those wide angle panels.

I highly recommend this one.

Rashomon is a great film that was innovative in its storytelling.

It tells the story of the murder of a man, and the assault of a woman from four different points of view, and it is up to us the audience to determine which story is more accurate.

The Mark Waid run of The Flash is a great starting point for people who want to get into the character.

Waid wrote for the character for nearly a decade and introduced story lines that people still feel the impact of to this day.

Lone Wolf and Cub was adapted into six films and are some of the most action packed films you'll watch.

However keep in mind that for those that don't know, going in there are at least two scenes of women being brutally attacked in these films (they are avenged).

In fact it was these films that inspired the Kill Bill movies.

Superman Unchained is a great story that is illustrated by Jim Lee and written by Scott Snyder.
It's actually one of the few bright spots in the chaos that was the new 52.

Xenogears may not be as well known as its contemporaries like Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger/Cross, however it's still a great game with great characters, and it has a battle system that is unique among the JRPG's at the time.

Following the John Byrne run was a great run from the likes of Roger Stern, Dan Jurgens, and Louise Simonson.

These would lead to great stories in the late 80's to the mid 90's, including the Death/Return of Superman story lines.

I first discovered this game on the SNES, it would be a few years later that I would discover that it was a port of the PC game.

Either way, it's still a game that I love to this day.

This Superman story is based on an episode of the 1940's radio show.

When an Asian immigrant family moves to the suburbs in Metropolis, they are immediately harassed by members of the Klan and are forced to live in daily terror, Superman is angered by this and helps the family against the racism.
