I read Redshirts a few months ago and it was great. Starter Villain is even better imo. Scalzi is usually my choice of author to use as a break inbetween dark Nordic crime and depressing nonfiction lol

I'll post a full list at the end of the year but a few "can't put this down" have been:

The Trees- Percival Everett
Starter Villain- John Scalzi
The Night Watchman- Louise Erdrich

And for nonfiction I'll always recommend Africa is Not a Country by Dipo Faloyin
