Being online and on apps feels like a deeply unrelatable experience despite the fact that vast majority of us are constantly experiencing some version of it. Social media existentialism feels pretty limp.

This is a big deal. Spread the word. But it’s tiny compared to the totality of what’s happening at NIH. Cure Research for all cancers, Alzheimer’s, everything is being gutted. Intentionally. It’s all getting burned to the ground but the news isn’t getting out. The new cures won’t be there for you.

Cabo Boing, aka Brian Esser, an artist I’ve been following for 20 years, makes amazing, outrageous music that inherits Devo’s mutated futurism and filters it through the lens of millennial horror into something utterly unique. Pinballing rhythms churn behind clownish synth and funhouse vocals. Aces.

My elderly cat having an epiphany when I put a flannel shirt over his makeshift nest on the couch on an uncomfortably cool day. “Science,” he whispers, as he drifts into a nap.

Disorienting to watch the news aggregators that have been blasting a fire hose of boiling hostility across their feeds for the entirety of this exhaustingly long election cycle smashing to “everyone’s, like, the same, man” coverage just in time for mega shopping. 🖕🖕
