I'm not familiar with any of the typical medusoids being dioecious. However, I've found it difficult to get reasonable self-pollination rates out of many of them. They seem to prefer having a genetically distinct clone to be partnered with.

Euphorbia bupleurifolia very easy to pollinate once you have a male and female pair. I've only sown a handful so far, with a very high (100%) germination rate. We'll see if they make it through the winter!

Euphorbia bupleurifolia is typically more geophytic in habitat of South Eastern South Africa than in cultivation. It's stems resembling the look of a pine-cone can be seen with its overlapping tubercles and hardened brown body.

E. monteiroi ssp. ramosa differs from E. monteiroi in being a more freely branching plant (ramosa meaning branching), while E. monteiroi ssp. brandbergensis differs in having more yellow/green glands (brandbergensis meaning from Brandberg Mountain, Namibia).
