Personally seed grown (seedling) of #Euphorbia yattana (formerly Monadenium yattanum). I really love this plant. It's a native to Kenya and will produce a bit of a caudex over time along with these quite stunning leaves which I've known to persist for quite a while. #sciart

I came across a heavy handful of amazing mushrooms while hiking the Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve. I'm no #mycology buff, so I'll unleash the photos here for others to ID. #SciArt

#Euphorbia scitula is one of my favorite spiny shrubs. It is native to Angola and has everything I love all in one plant. Amazing spines in pairs of two along each stem and wonderful markings on the stems themselves. Cyathia and seed pods are both very cute. Easy to grow from seed/ cuttings. #SciArt

#Euphorbia bupleurifolia is a dioecious Euphorbia with a ton of different common names! "Rabbit-eared spurge”, “Cycad Spurge”, and “Pine-Cone Euphorbia” all refer to E. bupleurifolia, named for it's leaves being similar to plants from the Genus Bupleurum. #SciArt

#Euphorbia heterospina beginning to flower. E. heterospina is a spiny shrub found near the Uganda / Kenya border. In cultivation I've found it to enjoy a lot of light and heat within my greenhouse.
