Anyhow, if you are a colleague or comrade in London would love to hear from you and get in touch. There is so much I'm gonna miss about life in Alabama and the South, we built a great little community here in Bham and the organizing work here has felt v important, but grateful for the eject button.

Things have gotten so bad so fast. It's all so anger-inducing and my heart is with all my colleagues here. I hope it gets better soon, but I fear it may get much worse first. In the meantime, excited for this next chapter in such a stellar department to raise my daughter in such an amazing city.

I just got tenure. But I also lost federal funding, and the NSF is gutted. And I care about my research! So here I am, instead of taking a breath and enjoying a much needed teaching break on paternity leave, prepping for a major international move and pulling my hair out (and losing it fast!).
