Last night I finished the novel Stoner by John Williams. I was pretty floored by it.

Very true to life. Great writing. At times the stuff that happened to the protagonist was so painful that I had to take a break from the book.

Has anyone else read this?

I finished Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami, which I really enjoyed. The first Murakami novel I have been able to get through (I've tried a couple, but it was years ago). Has anyone else read Norwegian Wood? Or any Murakami? Got an opinion on what I should read next?
