you can try the thing @koroshiya.bsky.social is doing, cs50.harvard.edu/python/2022/ which is pretty traditional. the nice thing is they have a really cool programming environment already built that you can use for free. i'll try to think of other resources.

over the last n years, i've thought: do we have to be prepared to use the skills one would collect at the range? being prepared isn't the same thing as being enthusiastic. it also gives some insight into how the enthusiasts think. having feelings instead of compulsions is also a good sign.
