The TT acceleration of suppression and moderation preference in favor of the right wing (especially misinformation the POTUS/Admin) has gotten substantially more aggressive over the last two weeks.

30% of Montana did. 20% voted for Harris. The other half didn’t like either candidate enough (or understand how authoritarian regimes come to power) to vote.

I’m at 33 states by any method right now. I added the fly to the goal bc I am very, very poorly skilled at it. And the skill gap is my own lack of dedication to casting/presentation. I want to impress me… someday. 😅🤷‍♂️

I have a goal to catch a fish in all 50 states on the fly by 50yrs old. I have a decade to get through 36 more states… but RI is one that was giving me a bit of heartburn. Might be reaching out for beta in a few years. 🤘

I live just outside of Yellowstone and when the summer rivers run too hot, chasing grayling in the alpine lakes north of the Park is an absolute treat. 🤘

That chicken is going with spiced roasted acorn squash and this pea soup (broth is savory elk demi glacé with rice wine and toasted fresh ginger, cloves, and garlic in sesame oil).

Haven’t decided if it’ll get blended before serving or not… but I think so. 🤓

I brined it since lunch in a pot out in the -3°F air.
Brining poultry in the cold helps keep the fat from melting and the osmosis.

I used salt, sugar, cinnamon, bay leaves, garlic, black peppercorns, and allspice berries in the brine.

I am roasting a chicken tonight? 🤷‍♂️

I like to use aromatics inside poultry when roasting one whole.

First, I microwave apple, shallot, cinnamon, black peppercorns, bay leaves, and rosemary in a little water. Then they go in.

It helps heat the bird from the inside… and they look and smell 😙👌
